School starts in 2 short weeks. I had to look at a calendar to confirm that, and still have a difficult time believing it. Where did this summer go? As I prepare for the upcoming year by writing important dates in my planner, check out the 'back to school' section at Target, and frantically try to check off items on my summer 'to do' list, I can't help but feel the rising excitement of the possibilities we will all experience this year. If I'm being honest, I am going to miss leisurely mornings with my two little ones, so acknowledge that there is a part of me that is sad that there are only 2 weeks left. What is more exciting, however, is knowing that this year is going to bring wonderful new relationships. It is going to bring fun times and laughter, just as much as it is going to bring challenges and tears. It is my hope that we will, together, navigate the many different experiences we will have and embrace them all. For it is in the challenge we find growth. It is the tears that make the smiles so much more valuable. Middle school is a time of amazing changes - physically, socially, academically. The process of growing a year older is not for the faint of heart. It is full of the most amazing potential imaginable. I am so excited to see that potential unfold!

AuthorThis is my second year teaching at FMS with Seneca 7D. I love teaching and look forward to coming to work every day. I have two young children, Sophia, and Lucas. They keep my husband and myself on our toes! We also have 3 cats, Roman, Maddie, and Suzie. Sophia and Lucas keep them on their toes as well! I love sushi, lasagna, pizza, brownies, and ice cream sundaes. I'm learning to love yoga and strive to get back into running. Maybe this year... :-) Archives
